Dr. Yvelise Bello Presents book boost safe surgery

Santo Domingo.– With more than two decades of experience in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Yvelise Bello presented her book The Journey to Your Transformation, a guide aimed at educating, guiding and protecting people interested in undergoing aesthetic procedures, especially those who consider performing them outside their country of origin.
The publication stems from a concern that the specialist has identified during years of professional practice: the increase in patients who make decisions about aesthetic interventions influenced by false information, recommendations from people without medical training or promises of fast results at low cost.
As part of her professional career, the doctor decided to develop this practical guide with the purpose of providing tools that allow patients to make informed and safe decisions when seeking a physical transformation.
“Many people put their lives in the hands of those who are just looking to sell a procedure. My greatest desire is for each patient to understand that a physical transformation begins long before entering an operating room: it begins with the correct information and the choice of a qualified professional,” said Dr. Bello.
The specialist explained that one of the main objectives of the work is to help men and women understand that the desire to transform their image must arise from self-love and not from social pressure or deceptive offers that frequently circulate on the internet.
Through accessible language, the book accompanies the reader through each stage of the process: from the selection of a plastic surgeon and physical and emotional preparation, to the recommendations needed to reduce risks and increase patient safety.
“Plastic surgery can transform lives when done right. No economic savings justify putting health at risk; safety must always be the priority. During my career I have seen how many people make decisions based on promotions, unsubstantiated recommendations or incomplete information," said the specialist.
The author also announced that this editorial project represents the beginning of a broader educational platform, from which she plans to develop conferences, workshops and training programs aimed at both patients and health professionals, with the purpose of promoting a culture of greater responsibility and safety within international medical tourism.
